Staff complete Welsh 3 Peak challenge
Mon 13 Jun 2022The 6 teachers who tok part in an epic 3 Peaks walking challenge completed their objective on Saturday evneing. The teachers walked for 25 miles, climbing over 2600 meters and nursed blisters, sore feet, and bruised knees as they finished their challenge at 9.45pm. Starting at 4am, the staff, 3 of whom had never walked to the top of a mountain before, climbed Gwdar Fawr, Snowdon and Cadair Idris. The weather was decisdedly mixed with gusting winds of up to 40 mph and low clouc cover which meant most of the walking was done with in poor visiblilty. Howeve,r the team remained in good spirits and are deligthed to have the support of so many from the Sefton Park community. They raised over £3000 for the redevelopment of a sensory room for our SEND children in school. Well done to all who tookk part and thank you to those who supported the challenge.

Year 6 Girls Cricket win local competition
Fri 10 Jun 2022On an overcast Thursday, 20 Year 6 Girls marched up to Golden Hill Cricket Club to play Dynamo cricket against 10 other schools.
Sefton Park took 3 teams - which shows the interest in Girls Cricket - as 20 out of the 30 girls in the year group wanted to be part of the competition. The day was a triumph with many great performances. It was a whole team effort with much cheering and supporting. One of the teams won the competition and so 8 of the girls will play in the County Finals on the 24th June. Well done to everyone who took part in what was an awesome day.

Compost delivery
Thu 19 May 2022Recpetion and Year 1 were transfixed by the delivery of a tonne on compost on the school playground. They were the extremely helpful in transporting the compost in whatever utensils they could find. For many, it was the best day of school ever!!

Pop Up Garden
Mon 09 May 2022Check out our AMAZING beach garden in the Year 2 playground. Why do I like to be beside the seaside is their topic question, and who couldn't like to be at the beach when there is a garden as wonderful as this. A huge thank you to the amazing Lucy Parfitt and family who have spent a great deal of time working on the project. We are extremely grateful to you. The children are delighted with it and the sense of excitement as they were allowed to play on in was infectious and makes all the hard work worth it!

Year 5 love Harry Potter Studios
Fri 06 May 2022The Year 5's had a wonderful time at Harry Potter Studios with many commenting that it was the best school trip ever!! Magic, enchantment and memories made. It really is a special and, at times, overwhelming place.

Ramadan and Eid assembly with Sheikh Feroz
Thu 05 May 2022The whole school were entranced by Sheikh Feroz's assembly and explanations about Ramadan and Eid. He was engaging, informative and entertaining and the children left feeling informed and enthused about the celebrations to come. Thank you to Feroz for coming into school - we really are grateful.
On Thursday afternoon a plethora of Henna, food and sunshine was shared amongst the whole school. The children loved the experience as you can tell form the photo's. A huge thank you to all of our Muslim community for embracing us with their support.

Police Horses and Vans make surprise visit for the children at SP!
Wed 04 May 2022On Tuesday afternoon, 2 Police Horses and a Police Van arrived in the school playground to discuss with the children their jobs, roles and how they help keep people safe. As part of our ongoing learning in our Relationships and Health Education, the children had many questions and were extremely enthusiastic. The Police reported that the afternoon went perfectly with no trouble caused at all!!
