Staff complete Welsh 3 Peak challenge
The 6 teachers who tok part in an epic 3 Peaks walking challenge completed their objective on Saturday evneing. The teachers walked for 25 miles, climbing over 2600 meters and nursed blisters, sore feet, and bruised knees as they finished their challenge at 9.45pm. Starting at 4am, the staff, 3 of whom had never walked to the top of a mountain before, climbed Gwdar Fawr, Snowdon and Cadair Idris. The weather was decisdedly mixed with gusting winds of up to 40 mph and low clouc cover which meant most of the walking was done with in poor visiblilty. Howeve,r the team remained in good spirits and are deligthed to have the support of so many from the Sefton Park community. They raised over £3000 for the redevelopment of a sensory room for our SEND children in school. Well done to all who tookk part and thank you to those who supported the challenge.
