Term 2 has come around quickly and the Year 2 team are extremely proud of how well the children have settled back into school life. The world is slightly different as we all know but at Sefton Park we are doing all we can to maintain some familiarity for the children.
In this term we prepare ourselves for Christmas which will look slightly different this year at Sefton. We are learning all about the history of Bristol this term and focusing particularly on some iconic figures. We will also be learning all about Victorian children and the similarities and differences between school then and now. Instead of our usual christmas performances and events we will be singing songs in class in our bubbles and these will be shared on google classroom. We will also be doing our infamous Christmas decorations in a different way this year and all will be revealed soon.
In maths this term we will be exploring addition and subtraction within 10 and bridging 10, money and multiplication with a focus on the 2, 5 and 10 times tables.
In English we will be writing diary entries from the perspective of a Victorian orphan and also exploring firework poetry using onomatopoeias.
Thank you for your continued support and we hope you stay safe and well.
