Sports Premium
PE and Sports Premium Funding
The Sports Premium is a government grant aimed at improving provision of physical education (PE) and sport in primary schools.
This funding is provided jointly by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport. The funding is ringfenced and so must be spent on improving the school’s provision of PE and sport, but each school can choose how they can do this. The government has committed to continuing to fund the Sports Premium into 2023/24.
