Year 5/6 Chess Tournament
The annual Year 5 and 6 Chess Competition concluded with the grand final held in the school library. Rex (Yr 5) played James (Yr 6) after a gruelling tournament that took 8 weeks and 9 rounds of competition. The final was watched by a record crowd of 20 keen supporters, oohing and arhing every move. However, the final was emphatically won by Rex and he will hold the trophy aloft. It has been a great tournament, led by the children, and a great way to end the winter term.
