Unicornfest visit from Artist Amy Magee
On Friday, the school had a surprise visit from the Artist of our entry in Unicornfest this summer. We were delighted that Amy Maggee, (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pSa9dUNCMX0) was able to visit our 6 artist whose entries into the Unicornfest competition had been chosen to provide inspiration for Amy.
We had over 80 entries into the competition and, as ever, the quality of work was incredibly impressive. The winning designs were chosen by our school council and a huge congratulations go to Lila, Hafsa, Max, Tom, Lana and Ava for their entries. Amy was really impressed by their work. The children then had an afternoon working with Amy, discussing their designs and inputting their thoughts into the painting technique for the Unicorn.
We are hugely indebted to Matt and the Forge and Fern (https://theforges.co.uk/) for allowing Sefton Park to be involved in such a creative city wide project in aid of Leukemia Aid.
