    From football and martial arts to creative workshops, wellbeing sessions, and musical theatre, our extracurricular clubs and activities offer children opportunities to explore new interests, develop skills, and make friends.

    Most clubs are run by external providers, with some led by our own talented teachers. To book a place, contact providers directly using the details below. For wraparound care, visit our Wraparound Care page.

    We work with trusted local providers to run our external clubs. If you have any questions about qualifications, safeguarding, or suitability, please get in touch with them directly.

    School-Run Clubs

    Make Art, Take Part

    Years 4–6 | Mondays, 3:30–5:00pm | Classroom

    This creative after-school workshop explores various artistic methods and materials. Children experiment with colour, line, form, space, and texture, develop their own creative ideas, and work together on collaborative projects.

    Sefton Spotlights: Summer Club

    Years 3–6 | Thursdays, 3:30–4:45pm | Junior Hall

    Summer Club focuses on developing musical theatre skills in a relaxed, engaging environment. Fun team-building drama games and sessions on singing, acting, and dancing give children the chance to grow in confidence and creativity. Audition preparation is also included — making it a great introduction for those new to the club or thinking about joining our performance-focused Autumn Club. And with no end-of-term performance, it’s a great way for children to dip their toes into musical theatre without the pressure of a big show.

    CheckMates: Chess Club

    Years 3–6 | Tuesdays, 3:30–4:30pm | Beech Class

    This club not only teaches children how to play chess, but also helps develop independent decision-making skills, self-confidence, and a sense of personal agency.

    City Gong Fu: Kung Fu

    Reception to Year 2 | Mondays, 3:30–4:20pm | Infant Hall
    Years 3–6 | Tuesdays, 3:30–4:15pm | Junior Hall

    Energetic Kung Fu classes where children build confidence, discipline, and fitness in a safe and supportive environment. Led by Sifu Kee, classes focus on self-defence skills and learning through play and teamwork.

    Invisible Threads: Dance Class

    Reception to Year 3 | Thursdays, 3:30–4:30pm and Fridays, 3:00–4:00pm | Infant Hall

    Themed dance classes that develop teamwork and motor control skills through high-energy warm-ups, games, dance routines, and creative tasks.

    Miss Anisha's Jazz Dance

    Years 4–6 | Wednesdays, 3:30–4:30pm | Infant Hall

    Musical theatre jazz dance class. Dancing to classic and contemporary hits, children learn a new routine each term and get the chance to perform at the annual showcase "Stages"!

    NOVUS: Basketball, Dodgeball, Gymnastics

    Football sessions for boys and girls. As all sessions take place outdoors, children will need appropriate clothing.

    The Outdoors Project

    Years 1–6 | Wednesdays, 3:30–4:30pm | Woodland Area

    A mix of traditional and new outdoor activities on the school grounds, whatever the weather.

    Thrive Kids: Circus Skills & Coding Clubs

    Circus Skills Club

    Years 2–6 | Thursdays, 3:30–4:20pm | Safari Playground

    Children learn skills using plate-spinning, diabolos, hula hoops, and balance boards to develop coordination, confidence, and creativity.

    Coding Club

    Children learn the basics of programming through games, storytelling, and interactive activities, developing valuable problem-solving and logic skills in a hands-on, creative learning environment.

    Introduces children to a variety of sports and activities in a fun, supportive environment.
