Work with Us

Join Our School Community

At Sefton Park, our motto is "Being and doing our very best" – and this applies to everyone who walks through our doors.

More than just a workplace, we're a community where every child and every team member matters. Here, you'll find colleagues who care about each other's success and wellbeing, creating an environment that is dynamic, supportive, and inspiring. And at the heart of everything we do are the children who call Sefton Park their school.

Whether you're looking to join our staff team or volunteer in our classrooms, we'd love to hear from you.

What We're Looking For

We welcome passionate educators and support staff who love to work as part of a team, are committed to growing and learning, and share our belief in the potential of every child.

Current Opportunities

If you'd like to join our team, all our vacancies are advertised on eTeach, where you can sign up to receive email job bulletins and apply directly.

Reading Volunteers

We're always looking for volunteers who can spare an hour or two each week to read with children in our classrooms. You do not need any teaching experience – just a love of stories and the ability to give one-to-one time to young readers. We'll provide you with an introduction to your role and support throughout.

Reading volunteers help children build confidence and fluency, and make a real difference to their progress. Sessions are flexible and fit around your availability.

If you're interested in becoming a reading volunteer, complete our volunteer sign-up form and we'll be in touch.

Our Commitments

We're committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. We ask that all staff and volunteers share in this commitment to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone in our community.

We also want our school to reflect the diversity of the families our children come from. We especially welcome applications from individuals in underrepresented groups, including those from diverse ethnic backgrounds, women, transgender people, older candidates, people with disabilities, and individuals of all sexual orientations and faiths.
