Our School Charity

Sefton Park Schools' Charity helps fund the resources and opportunities that enrich the learning experiences of all our children.

The school charity works together with the PTA to support our single school fund. Both are registered charities, but they take different approaches to fundraising: the school charity focuses on ongoing support through easyfundraising and direct donations, while the PTA organises events and campaigns throughout the year. Every contribution – in whatever form it takes – makes a real difference.

Support with easyfundraising

If you shop online, easyfundraising offers a free and simple way to support our school. Over 8,000 retailers – including Amazon, eBay, John Lewis, Argos, and major supermarkets – donate a percentage of the money you spend when you shop through easyfundraising.

How It Works

  1. Sign up at easyfundraising.org.uk and choose Sefton Park Schools' Charity as your cause.
  2. Shop through the easyfundraising website, app, or browser extension before making purchases.
  3. Donations happen automatically – the retailer pays easyfundraising a commission, part of which is then donated to our school.

You pay the same price as you would when shopping directly. You'll never be asked to donate – the donation comes exclusively from the retailer's commission.

easyfundraising FAQs

Click on a question to expand.

Is easyfundraising safe to use?

Yes. easyfundraising is a well-established fundraising platform used by thousands of schools and charities across the UK. It's been operating since 2005 and is registered with the Fundraising Regulator.

Does it access my personal information or banking details?

No. easyfundraising doesn't see your payment information, passwords, or personal data. It simply tells the retailer you came via easyfundraising, so they know to make a donation.

Do I have to use the browser extension?

Not at all. You can shop through the easyfundraising website or mobile app instead. The browser extension just makes things easier by reminding you when you're on a participating retailer's site.

What information does easyfundraising collect?

easyfundraising tracks which retailer you visited and when a purchase was made (so they can claim the donation), but not what you bought or how much you spent. You can read their full privacy policy on their website for more details.

Does using easyfundraising cost me anything?

No. You pay exactly the same price as shopping directly with the retailer. There are no fees, subscriptions, or hidden costs.

How much does the school actually receive?

The donation amount varies by retailer, typically ranging from a few pence to a few pounds per transaction. Individual amounts are small, but when multiple families shop regularly over time, contributions add up significantly.

Can I use it for my regular grocery shopping?

Yes. Tesco, Sainsbury's, Waitrose, Ocado, and other supermarkets all participate, so your regular weekly shop can also support the school.

Direct Donations

If you'd like to make a one-off or regular donation directly to the school charity, you can do this through our JustGiving page. UK taxpayers can add Gift Aid to increase their donation by 25% at no extra cost.
