Sefton Spotlights

Take Your Place in the Spotlight

Twice a year, Sefton Park comes alive with musical theatre.

Sefton Spotlights is Sefton Park Junior School's musical theatre club for children aged 7 to 11. Here, young performers build confidence, creativity, and teamwork while discovering the joy of live performance under the guidance of our talented musicians, choreographers, and acting coaches.

Our Two-Act Season

Sefton Spotlights runs twice a year, with sessions every Thursday, after school:

Autumn Terms (1 and 2): We focus on our Christmas production, working together to create a festive show that brings our whole school community together.

Summer Terms (5 and 6): We explore musical theatre through dynamic workshops – developing singing, acting, and dancing skills in a creative and supportive environment.

This pattern provides children with the opportunity to experience both the excitement of working towards a performance and the enjoyment of exploring various aspects of musical theatre.

Where Every Child is a Star

Whether your child is new to performing or already loves being on stage, our club welcomes all abilities and skill levels. From the first tentative dance moves at rehearsals to the uplifting applause on performance night, children make friends across year groups, discover hidden talents, and gain confidence that extends far beyond the theatre.

We're proud to nurture our pupils' creativity and bring our school community together through the shared experience of performance.
