Year 4 Football Tournament
Tue 19 Mar 2024Year 4 took part in a football tournament against 8 other local schools at Coombe Dingle this week. They won 2, drew 1 and lost 1 but most importantly, they showed exemplary sportsmanship and they had a great time. Our thanks go to Clifton High School for organising the event and to the parents who came to support.

Window Wanderland
Mon 18 Mar 2024In Year 6, Poplar class have been busy creating the most spectacular displays for this years Window Wanderland. As ever, the displays look incredible and can be seen at CJ Hole on Gloucester Road.

Playpod Opens
Sun 17 Mar 2024Our new Playpod opened last week and the children have loved having new equipment to play with. A whole raft of creative ideas were evident as children immersed themselves on the 'scrap' available to them. We are grateful to the PTA for supporting the school with this as we look to continue to evolve how the children play - and learn - at Sefton Park.

Noah's Ark Zoo Year 2 Trip
Tue 12 Mar 2024This week our Year 2's went on a mission to explore the wonderful world of animals at Noah's Ark Zoo. They had the most amazing time and were wonderful ambassadors for the school. Some of the children were even brave/crazy enough to touch a snake!

Play Pod Launch
Mon 11 Mar 2024This week saw the launch of our new Play Pod from the Scrapstore. The children had the best time training how to use the equipment including capturing their teachers and shipping themselves off in suitcases.

World Book Day
Mon 11 Mar 2024A wonderful celebration of everything literary this year! Some amazing costumes and beautiful readings! A huge thank you for all of those who came to share their favourite stories with the children, it really did make the whole day come alive.

Year 5 Netball tournament
Tue 05 Mar 2024Year 5 took part in a netball tournament on Friday and had a wonderful time. As well as playing against other schools, one of our team managed to play against her cousin!

Stick Insects
Mon 04 Mar 2024How many stick insects can you hold at one time? This is the question children are looking into in Poplar class as they welcome their new classmates for the spring term. They may not look much, but they appear to be bringing the children plenty of joy!

Chess tournament begins
Mon 04 Mar 2024The annual chess tournament for Years 5 and 6 started this week. 40 competitors have signed up to compete for the 'Matilda' trophy. At lunchtimes over the next 4 weeks, players pit their wits against each other. The winner will be announced in a few weeks time.

Ice Bucket Challenge
Wed 21 Feb 2024At the end of Term 3, a number of staff sacrificed themselves on the alter of dignity in aid of Children's Mental Health Week and to raise funds to revamp our regulation zones for the school. They were able to raise an incredible £2,150! A huge thank you for everybody who donated and came to watch the Ice Bucket Challenge at the end of the term!
