Year 6 Girls Football Tournament
Thu 30 Mar 2023Nine lucky children took part in a girls football tournament last week, competing against Bishop Road and Brunel Field. The girls had a fantastic afternoon in which they won a game, drew a game and lost a game. Some great defending by Aleena A and a great goal by Juno kept us ahead in the second game whilst a player of the match performance in goal by Sylvie was not quite enough to send us through to the final. Overall, all of the girls represented the school brilliantly and demonstrated great sporting values and it was all topped off by meeting two Bristol City Women's players and collecting some autographs at the end of the day!
Well done to Sylvie, Hafsa, Sooden, Grace, Juno, Liz, Blossom, Jaspreet and Aleena!

Year 5/6 Chess Tournament
Thu 30 Mar 2023The annual Year 5 and 6 Chess Competition concluded with the grand final held in the school library. Rex (Yr 5) played James (Yr 6) after a gruelling tournament that took 8 weeks and 9 rounds of competition. The final was watched by a record crowd of 20 keen supporters, oohing and arhing every move. However, the final was emphatically won by Rex and he will hold the trophy aloft. It has been a great tournament, led by the children, and a great way to end the winter term.
