As a consequence of tonight's announcement by the government, we regret to inform you that school will be closed to all children on Tuesday 5th January including children of critical workers and vulnerable children. This includes any arrangements communicated earlier today for children in Cedar, Cherry, Banyan, Oak and Eucalyptus classes. This is to give us time to set up the safeguarding and operational protocols required to open up the school to children of critical workers and vulnerable children only for Wednesday the 6th.
We plan to use tomorrow as an emergency Inservice (Inset) day in order to ensure protocols are established appropriately. We will take this in place of one of the Inset days planned for later in the year.
There will be further communication tomorrow regarding the reopening of school for the children of critical workers and vulnerable children and details of how remote learning will take place for all other children beginning on Wednesday. Please keep a close eye on your email inbox.
We appreciate that this is highly problematic for many of you. Thank you once again for your patience and understanding in these ever changing circumstances.
As ever, if you have any queries or questions please contact myself or the school office.
