Last Wednesday, Sefton Park School hosted a panto performance of Snow White by Birmingham-based theatre company, Katch 22.
It was attended by children in Reception, and years 1, 2 and 3, and was raucously received. "It was brilliant", said one Year 2 pupil. "The two actors were great as they had to be more than one person!"
Katch 22 provides a range of innovative quality interactive drama workshops and shows for schools, to develop educational, social and creative development. Their shows are developed in line with the National Curriculum, to raise awareness of specific issues and topics, create a safe forum for debate, and encourage an emotional connection to the work by making learning fun.
Snow White was an interactive show with lots of audience participation. "It was funny because a teacher had to be Snow White!', observed a Year 2 pupil.
The Christmas Panto season has truly begun.......
