Over half term, Sefton Park welcome 'Titch' and 'Crumpet'. Goats from the the 'Street Goat Project', (https://www.streetgoat.co.uk/) have been loaned to Sefton Park for the term.
The Goats will stay with us on a termly basis before before rehomed for new pasture land. When the Goat pen area has re-grown, the Goats will return.
We are delighted to have the Goats as part of our Educational drive to engage more with our local environment and learn to live alongside other animals. They are a wonderful teaching resource and children will learn how to look after the goats, how to feed them and care for them.
We are extremely grateful to Helen and Freddy Jackson-Brown for their awesome fence building skills. Their hard work will no doubt be put to the test by the goats in the coming weeks. Also to all those parents, children and staff who helped make the goat pen. As the saying goes, 'many hands make light work' and it was truly a team effort. Thank you also to Carol from Street Goat project who was very enthusiastic about having Goats at Sefton Park and for trusting us to look after them.
Thank you to all involved and do come and say hello to our new, friendly Goats.
