On Monday the 26th November, 6 Year 4 girls attended the second South West Regional Science Summit. Along with 25 other schools, the girls met in a conference centre where science activities and discussion groups were held. As part of their discussion, the girls talked about environmental issues that they felt passionate about and how Science could help those issues.
At the summit, the children involved all decided that for this year, the focus of their investigations would be around plastic in the Ocean. Pip and Gabriela said, 'we hope to have a fun, exciting project for the school to do and the summit was really fun.' We look forward to seeing how this project develops over the year.
