Sefton Park was transformed overnight on 30 November into a magical Christmas wonderland, featuring an individual piece of artwork produced by every child in the school, as well as Christmas trees and Santa's sleigh.
Children and parents were invited into school on Friday 1 December to experience it for themselves, to see the whole school decorated with the children’s artwork.
Each year group has spent time during November creating the artwork, building on the work started in our mark making fortnight at the beginning of the school year. Infant children produced a range of colourful, sparkling pieces on the theme of 'Sources of Light', featuring glittering moons, shooting stars, candles and lanterns. Junior children produced a range of Christmas messages in a variety of styles for the Junior Hall, some of which are linked to the topics being followed in each year group, such as a wartime evacuee's Christmas message to Mum from the Year 6s.
